Innocence Interrupted

The names we bear can be either a burden to us or a beacon. Trust me when I say my name, Innocence has been both. I'm a storyteller perpetually caught between the questions strangers ask, "Are you innocent, like your name" and the answer I'm, sometimes, compelled to give: "Not that I know of."

I have been a traveller for much of my adult life. If there's anything I have discovered, it is that every city holds a mirror to my life. I have been faced by moments that are nothing short of a strange choreography of identity, perception, and the expectations that come when you wear a human skin and carry a human face.

What this means is that my writing is a journey through survival, relationships, creativity, and the intricate landscapes of human experience. From personal stories that pulse with raw authenticity to explorations of humanitarian causes and development work, I'm here to unravel the complex threads that connect us.

Sometimes, I'm documenting advocacy efforts, sometimes I'm dissecting the art of storytelling, and at other times, I'm sharing glimpses of my own wanderings and life in general, each piece an invitation—to understand, to feel, to question. Welcome to my world, where innocence is not a state of being, but a continuous, nuanced conversation.
